Princess lost litter
we recently bred thunder and pincess again, we had a bad time with princess on this litter. i had her xray done and could only tell one pup but my vet said that it was a big one and there still could be more than one. well it turned out that it was just one and he was so big he got stuck in princess birth canal. to make a long story short by the time we got her to the vet we had lost the little guy. princess had other complications along with that but after major surgery she is recovering, but we can no longer use her for breeding. what a disaster that was. however one of the vets assistants has a female in heat right now and after seeing our beautiful big boy (thunder) with the gentle disposition inquired about studding him out. we will see where this leads us but hopefully we can work something out. in the mean time father time is moving on in thunders life and i need to think about the possibility of adding another female because it will be 2 years before we can breed a new addition. so depending on what the family says it could go either way. maybe i should just start showing thunder as every one i know that has a mastiff says he belongs in the show ring. i have put that off because it is so time consuming and really it is in my humble opinion overated. .... to be continued
